An elite soccer team is undergoing a severe crisis, after its owner commits suicide and leaves it deep in debt. When a rich man buys the team as a gift for his lovely young wife, Meital, the team's star striker Saar welcomes them with open arms, unaware that his life is about to take a vicious turn.
When his teammates, fans and even his wife begin to turn against him, Saar is determined to find the truth behind his crumbling life, convinced that he is faced with a powerful enemy. And indeed, behind his demise stands none other than Meital, a once poor girl named Sima, who experienced her first love with Saar. After he left her to fulfill his dream of playing soccer in Europe, the devastated Meital discovered she was pregnant and complications in the abortion resulted in her inability to ever bare children.
Hungry for revenge, Meital went on to change her name and appearance, evolving into a manipulative woman, who married for money in order to carry out her devious plans. When Meital enters Saar's life again, he does not recognize her, but is crushed when he learns of her true identity. Saar and Meital's relationship, which are the center of this story, go through extreme ups and downs studded with secrets and lies, until Saar reaches the end of his rope, and Meital realizes there is a thin line between love and hate.
