C21 Media - Dori's Lalola heads to India - January 22nd, 2009

International producer-distributor Dori Media Group has begun bouncing back from a Q4 2008 slowdown with the sale of its format Lalola into India.

Hindi-language general entertainment channel Sony Entertainment Television has purchased the comedic telenovela format for its Indian channel group, Dori CEO Nadav Palti told C21. Lalola, which Dori originally developed via its Argentinean studio, was a hit during its original run on America TV and has sold to over 50 territories throughout the world and including the US. Palti confirmed to C21 that Sony Pictures Television had produced a pilot for a US version of the series.
