Having originated in South America, the soaps have struck a nerve globally with an estimated audience of two billion across Asia and Africa, making it a major export earner. Catalyst Private Equity is a late stage private-equity fund investing in a portfolio of Israeli technology and media stocks. In recent results for 2008, the company reported group revenue ahead by 70% at 27.6 million but slight decline in profit after tax from £3.3 million to £2million.
