Dori Media Group generated sales of $2.6 million at MIPTV, with the potential total rising to $6.28 million if further options for the sale of 688 more hours are exercised in the final agreements.
The deals for the sale of 560 hours of telenovela series and formats to broadcasters from 11 countries were completed by DMG's fully owned Swiss subsidiaries, Dori Media International (DMI) and Dori Media Distribution (DMD).
Sales were concluded on the new series Lalola in France, Russia, Mexico, Albania, Chile and Ecuador. Other Dori Media series sold at MIPTV include the formats of the Sos Mi Vida (You are the One) to Sony in Spain, the comedy Amor Mio (My Love) to Greece, and Juanita La Soltera (Juanita is Single), Collar de Esmeralda (The Emerald Necklace) and El-Refugio (The Shelter) to various other territories.
Nadav Palti, the president and CEO of Dori Media Group, commented: "Once again, our successful participation at MIPTV has demonstrated the strength of our telenovela programming; our telenovelas encountered very high levels of demand from TV buyers and producers from all continents at the show. Once more, there has been particular interest in buying the formats of our telenovelas, to enable TV buyers to adapt these successful stories to their local marketplaces."
