C21 Media - Dori tots up $2.6m from Mip novela sales - May 18th, 2007

The telenovela genre is still alive and kicking for Israel's Dori Media Group, which made US$2.6m from novelas at MipTV.

The company has sold over 1,560 hours of its telenovela series and formats to broadcasters from 11 countries.

Its new project Lalola, which is in pre-production, has sold to undisclosed broadcasters from France, Russia, Mexico, Albania, Chile and Ecuador.

Other Dori Media series sold include the formats of Sos Mi Vida (You Are The One) to Sony in Spain, and the comedy Amor Mio (My Love) to Greece.

The company said that Juanita La Soltera (Juanita is Single), Collar de Esmeralda (The Emerald Necklace) and El-Refugio (The Shelter) to various other territories.
