Share Cast - Dori Media enjoys strongest results - August 15th, 2006

Investors switched on to Israeli TV producer Dori Media today as the company boasted a large increase in half year profit and revenue, topping previous expectations.

Pre-tax profit for the six months to 30 June jumped to $2.12m from $476,000 a year ago on revenue up 49% to $9.65m. Net profit leapt to $1.72m from $139,000.

The group reported a big increase in international sales, which accounted for 68% of total sales in the first half of 2006 while representing 33% of total revenues in the same period last year.

It also retains a positive outlook for 2006, following successful meetings with European, South American, Eastern European and Russian broadcasters at the DISCOP TV conference in Budapest in June.

President and CEO Nadav Palti said, "Dori Media demonstrated its strongest ever growth in the first half 2006, increasing its revenue compared to the first half of last year to nearly $10m."

"Despite accelerating our international expansion, investing in new programming and employing more sales people, we were able to surpass all expectations and generate as much profit in the first six months of 2006 as we did for the entire year 2005."
